SAKU
Location
1588 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6G 2G5, Canada
So, when I first visited SAKU, I went with one of my friend's during my first solo trip many, MANY years ago and that location was very secluded in this large industrial building. The photos I have referenced in this post was during my partner and I's visit with our group of friends during our anniversary trip to Vancouver!
First things first -- there's usually a pretty long-ish wait since there are no reservations (could be different now).
I got the SAKU Zenbu Katsu which pretty much has the entire selection of katsu types (1-2 pieces of each) -- it was a lot for me (HAHA). I really enjoyed the cheese katsu pieces, but that's because I love cheese in general. The sauce is a good solid katsu sauce. The rice had good texture. The salad was unlimited, I believe (?) which was all shredded cabbage and I thoroughly enjoy the texture of shredded cabbage. It also comes with miso soup and different condiments like radish and sesame seeds. I think this is a good and solid katsu spot if you're ever craving it, just prepare for a long wait to get seated, but food comes out relatively quick. Make sure to eat the food while it's hot! :)
